    Happily, I came to read this just as my spouse and I have been working hard on our latest de-cluttering project and have a carload of still-useful clothes, shoes, and the like, just sitting in the dining room waiting for a trip to the local shelter. My horror at seeing how large the unused portion of our belongings becomes (we took a similar stack of good books off to the local resale bookstore last week) is at least slightly mitigated by knowing that there’s still life in it all to be shared with someone less fortunate.
